Diagnostic TechnicianThe RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join a professional workshop environment. This role focuses on advanced fault diagnosis across mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems, supporting the workshop in resolving complex technical issues efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities*Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer and third-party diagnostic equipment
*Identify and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
*Support and mentor other technicians with diagnostic guidance
*Complete repairs to manufacturer and company standards
*Carry out servicing and repair work when required
*Accurately complete job cards, reports and digital health checks
*Ensure compliance with health & safety and workshop procedures
*Keep up to date with manufacturer technical bulletins and training
The Ideal Candidate*NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
*Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Senior Technician
*Strong fault-finding and analytical skills
*Confident using diagnostic tools and vehicle systems software
*EV / Hybrid certification (desirable but not essential)
*MOT Tester licence (advantageous)
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Full UK driving licence
