Infrastructure Architect - Silverfort SME
Location: Hybrid (Knutsford - 60% on-site / 40% remote)
Day Rate: £610 per day (Inside IR35, via PAYE Umbrella)
Contract Length: Until 30/09/2026
Start: ASAP
Overview A long-term opportunity for an experienced Silverfort SME / Infrastructure Architect to join a large-scale enterprise environment and take ownership of a unified identity and access platform. You will serve as the subject matter authority for Silverfort, driving architecture, policy design, integrations, troubleshooting, and service enhancements across a highly regulated organisation.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Identity & Access Management (IAM) expertise and deep understanding of authentication protocols. Previous experience working within banking or financial services environments is highly beneficial, given the scale, complexity, and security-driven nature of the platform.
Key Responsibilities *Own and operate the Silverfort platform as a core enterprise identity security service
*Lead Silverfort architecture, policy development, and cross-platform integrations
*Act as the primary point for escalated support, vendor interaction, and service improvements
*Partner with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to resolve issues and support ongoing programmes
*Produce high-quality technical and non-technical documentation, guides, and artefacts
Essential Skills & Experience *Strong understanding of Access Management, IAM, PAM, and MFA
*Deep knowledge of Silverfort architecture, agentless MFA, and policy design
*Solid experience with Active Directory and core authentication protocols: *LDAP
*Kerberos
*NTLM
*RADIUS
*Good knowledge of network fundamentals, including firewalls and proxies
*Strong troubleshooting and communication skills, working across multiple teams
*Solid grasp of ITIL: Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Desirable Skills *Experience with Azure and Entra ID
*Exposure to EDR/XDR security tooling
*Scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and API understanding
*Demonstrable experience creating clear, structured documentation
*Financial services/banking sector exposure
