OverviewWe are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly early years setting in South London. The successful candidate will support children aged 0–5 years, providing high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities*Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
*Plan and deliver engaging activities that support learning and development
*Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
*Act as a Key Person, supporting children’s individual needs
*Support daily routines including meals, hygiene, and rest times
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
*Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
*Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
Requirements*Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare
*Minimum 1 year’s experience in a nursery or early years setting
*Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
*Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable*Paediatric First Aid certificate
*Experience with learning journals and observations
*Knowledge of SEND support
