Job Description:
Motor Fleet Underwriter
Salary: circa £50,000 + good benefits & bonus potential
Location: City of London (3 days in, 2 from home)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a genuinely strong Motor Fleet team that is performing well, growing steadily, and giving underwriters the space to actually underwrite!
You’ll work across a broad mix of fleet risks, including car and van, coach and bus, taxi, and haulage. Average premiums typically sit in the £20k-£25k range, with larger cases occasionally reaching into the millions. The role covers both new business and renewals, with a clear emphasis on manual underwriting rather than purely system-led decisions.
You’ll trade with a mix of national and regional brokers, build genuine relationships, and be supported by an experienced and collaborative team. There is a clear focus on development, without unnecessary pressure or micromanagement.
What’s attractive here:
- A highly profitable, stable, and growing portfolio
- Genuine underwriting autonomy
- Exposure to a wide range of fleet risks
If you enjoy fleet underwriting, value technical development, and want to be within a supportive environment, this is well worth a conversation.
