Role OverviewWe are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly early years team at a well-established nursery in North London. The successful candidate will support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities*Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
*Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
*Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress
*Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development
*Maintain accurate learning journals and records
*Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers
*Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues when required
*Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies at all times
*Ensure all areas are kept clean, organised, and child-friendly
Requirements*Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years
*At least 1–2 years’ experience working in a nursery or early years setting
*Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
*Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A caring, patient, and reliable nature
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable Skills*Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to train)
*Experience with key person responsibilities
*Knowledge of SEND support
*Familiarity with nursery software (e.g. Famly, Tapestry)
