Billing and Credit Control Manager
Winchester - £50-55K
The company are a leading analytics consultancy who work across a range of industries providing data driven digital solutions. They employ in the region of 900 members of staff and promote a modern flexible working culture where everyone can contribute ideas to help make the company more successful. They are ideally looking for an experienced Billings and Credit Control Manager who can lead an established team who manager the entire billing cycle. This is an exciting opportunity to review, develop and improve the department as the company continues to grow.
Specifics of the role will include –
*Lead the Billing and Credit Control team of six with workload planning, guidance, training, performance management and career development.
*Manage the billing cycle from WIP, bill creation through invoicing, debtor management and credit control.
*Ensure the billing process complies with all VAT / tax compliance with UK regulations and overseas jurisdictions
*Continue to develop credit control excellence in areas of collection, dispute management, forecasting and query management.
*Take ownership of compliance and risk management.
*Ensure the client onboarding process functions correctly across all areas of the business. Liaise effectively with consultancy teams, finance, legal and compliance where needed.
*Help develop the international billing and credit control function. Gain a strong understanding of multi-currency, time zone, tax and jurisdictional challenges.
*Develop strong relationships across the business with Partners / Billing Managers.
*Help develop new systems, processes and project manage departmental developments and upgrades.
To apply for this role, you must have worked in a similar role within a professional services / time billing consultancy environment. Alongside strong billing / credit control knowledge you will need to display an ability to build long term strategy, helping the company build processes for the future. Whilst the team is experienced, you will still need to display leadership when required and ensure performance and workflow is managed. Knowledge of international billing and collection would be advantageous, but not essential.
