Description
*Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and minimise overdue balances.
*Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies effectively and efficiently.
*Liaise with clients to address payment queries and maintain positive relationships.
*Prepare and distribute regular reports on outstanding debts and credit control performance.
*Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and account information.
*Implement credit control policies and processes to improve cash flow.
*Support the accounting and finance department with ad-hoc tasks as required.
*Maintain accurate records of communication with customers and payment history.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
*Previous experience in a credit control or similar accounting and finance role.
*Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
*Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
*Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
*Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritise tasks efficiently.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving account discrepancies.
*Knowledge of the industrial and manufacturing sector is advantageous.
