An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Manager to join a forward-thinking engineering team at a market leading manufacturing company. You will play a key role in ensuring operational reliability, driving efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
The Role:
*Support the Engineering Manager in daily operations and deputise in their absence.
*Manage and control maintenance budgets effectively.
*Oversee and allocate electrical and mechanical workloads to ensure smooth department operations.
*Plan and coordinate routine and major maintenance shutdowns.
*Ensure maintenance resources are prioritised to meet operational requirements.
*Drive performance improvements in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and work order completion rates.
*Lead safety and mini-improvement projects during planned plant stoppages.
*Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance, working towards a zero-harm environment.
*Provide technical direction, mentorship, and leadership to the engineering team.
About You:
*Apprentice-trained in a relevant trade with an engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
*Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role.
*Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge, including fault diagnosis and repair.
*Familiarity with TPM and PPM systems.
*Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley systems.
*Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Access.
*Ability to lead under pressure and drive improvements in team performance and safety culture.
