Role: Technical Sales Engineer
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £37,000 - £39,000 dependant on experience (DOE)
Hours: Mon – Thurs: (7:30am – 16:00pm) Fri: (7:30am – 13:00pm)
Location: Worcester, West Midlands
Are you an experienced Technical Sales Engineer or in a Technical CAD role and want to progress into sales? Then this opportunity cannot be missed! I’m currently recruiting for a leading Engineering company based in Worcester. My client is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer on a full time, permanent basis due to growth in the company.
Technical Sales Engineer – Key responsibilities:
*Act as the main point of contact for customers, handling enquiries via phone, email and in person while building strong working relationships.
*Identify and respond to customer needs by developing suitable, cost-effective solutions and preparing accurate quotations.
*Produce layouts and costed solutions for customer requirements using CAD.
*Provide pre-sales technical guidance and maintain a high level of product and application knowledge to support both new and existing clients.
*Coordinate orders efficiently, ensuring clear communication between customers and internal teams, and resolving issues promptly.
*Maintain accurate CRM records, follow up opportunities, pursue new business and conduct site or customer visits.
Technical Sales Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:
*Strong attention to detail and work ethic
*Proficient in Microsoft office – Excel, Word and Powerpoint
*Ability to read technical drawings, ideally produced from AutoCAD
*Ability to use SAGE 200 or similar
*Excellent team player and problem solver
*Able to work well independently and as part of a team
