Secretary - Business Administrator - Firm of Accountants - Oldham
Our client is seeking am experienced Administrator/Secretary who has worked in a Firm of Accountants (current or previous role). Law firm Administrators also invited to apply.
Business Administrator required for an accounting firm to manage daily operations, client communication (HMRC/Companies House), scheduling, data entry, invoicing, and supports accountants with AML checks, onboarding, and general office tasks, requiring strong organization, communication, and discretion, often with familiarity with accounting software and principles to ensure smooth workflow and client service.
Key Responsibilities
*Company secretarial work (e.g. confirmation statements, adding/removing directors)
*Dealing with stock transfer forms, share paperwork, and associated filings
*Company incorporations and registering companies with HMRC
*Filing dormant accounts
*Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. Bright Manager or similar software)
*An understanding of how client fees operate within the accounting industry
*Client & Office Management: Greeting clients, managing phone calls/emails, handling post, ordering supplies, managing calendars, and ensuring smooth office procedures.
*Team Support: Assisting accountants and other staff with ad-hoc tasks, preparing documents, and coordinating workflows.
*On Boarding New Clients
Essential Skills & Qualifications
*Skills: Excellent organization, time management, communication (written/verbal), attention to detail, discretion, and problem-solving.
