Aviation Team Manager – Tour Operator
Seeking an experienced, hands-on Aviation Team Manager!
We’re looking for a hands-on Aviation Team Manager to join a busy tour operator. You’ll lead aviation projects, manage fares, build relationships, deal with escalated GDS ticketing issues, support reservations and e-sales teams, and keep our aviation business running smoothly for our travel customers and clients worldwide.
What you’ll do as an Aviation Team Manager
*Lead aviation projects and oversee the daily ticket department
*Ensure reservations teams are updated with fares, special deals, and routing changes
*Manage relationships with GDS providers and e-sales customers
*Load specialist fares into GDS systems (Amadeus / GAL) including NDC, I.T fares, cruise fares, corporate fares, and one-ways
*Monitor competitor activity and pricing across airlines
*Manage ADM & ACM processes from start to finish
*Advise reservations and after-sales teams on service disruptions and ensure contingency plans are followed
*Support airline training and co-ordinate team development
*Cover the out-of-hours emergency line on a rota
What you’ll bring as an Aviation Team Manager
*Strong ticketing experience
*Proven travel operations or reservations experience, ideally in a tour operator environment
*Hands-on experience with fares, airlines, and GDS systems (Amadeus / GAL)
*Excellent analytical, organisational, and project management skills
*Strong communication skills and a proactive, detail-driven approach
*Solid worldwide airline and fares knowledge
*Experience managing escalated queries with professionalism
