Location: Dorking, Surrey (own transport required due to rural location)

Salary: £55-60K DOE
Our client is a leading manufacturer specialising in high-quality consumables and sealing solutions for molecular biology. The job is still site based on Wotton but there will be occasionally travel required.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Global Warehouse Manager to take ownership of a complex warehouse operation, with responsibility not only for the UK site but also for providing operational oversight and support to additional warehouse locations in the United States, Europe and Japan.
The Role
The Global Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the efficient, compliant and cost-effective management of warehouse operations, ensuring service levels, budgetary targets and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
The role will lead the safe receipt, storage and dispatch of materials and finished goods while driving standardisation, continuous improvement and best practice across the global warehouse network. A key aspect of the position will be acting as the warehouse lead for the transition to a new Oracle MRP/ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
*Act as the warehouse lead for the implementation and transition to the new Oracle MRP/ERP system
*Manage day-to-day warehouse operations across global sites, ensuring consistent standards, processes and performance
*Ensure goods are received, stored, picked, packed and shipped in line with approved procedures
*Deliver an efficient operation capable of meeting operational and customer demand
*Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
*Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
*Drive a zero-tolerance approach to deviations from quality and compliance processes
*Ensure inventory accuracy, cycle counting, stock optimisation and effective capacity planning
*Maintain accurate records for all inventory transactions and stock locations
*Ensure accuracy and compliance of all goods-in and goods-out documentation, including labelling
*Support teams in resolving customs, clearance and trade compliance issues
*Identify system and process improvements and implement change initiatives
*Optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation and future capacity requirements
*Develop and maintain KPIs, metrics, reports, SOPs, training and safety records
*Create and implement warehouse policies and procedures aligned to quality standards and accreditation requirements
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, add value and reduce costs
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
*Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role
*Strong hands-on background in warehouse operations and trade compliance
*Demonstrable knowledge of warehouse policies, procedures and best practice
*Experience managing inventory accuracy, capacity planning and stock optimisation
*Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
*Strong leadership and people management capability
*Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
*High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
*Sound knowledge of Quality, Health & Safety standards
*Trade compliance or customs qualifications desirable but not essential
