Job Description:
We are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across London. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain further experience in an educational setting.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and follow the work set by the teacher.
Key Responsibilities*Supervising whole classes during the absence of the class teacher
*Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions
*Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies
*Ensuring a safe, positive, and productive learning environment
*Supporting students with their work where appropriate
*Taking attendance and reporting any issues to senior staff
*Upholding safeguarding procedures and school expectations at all times
The Ideal Candidate*Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, coaching, tutoring, etc.)
*Confident in managing behaviour and maintaining authority in the classroom
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Reliable, adaptable, and able to work at short notice
*A genuine interest in education and supporting student learning
Requirements*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
*Right to work in the UK
*Ability to commute to schools across London
*Availability for short-notice bookings (desirable)
