Our client is an established and successful UK retail organisation, working with leading FMCG suppliers and operating a centrally led commercial function
The Role
Trading Manager – Food / FMCG - Hybrid / excellent benefits
The role is responsible for managing food/FMCG categories, leading supplier negotiations, delivering category and promotional plans, and driving margin, income and availability at a national level
Key Duties*Lead national supplier negotiations across assigned categories
*Develop and implement category and promotional plans
*Manage cost price increases and protect margin
*Forecast and deliver supplier income
*Work with internal stakeholders to agree ranges and availability
*Analyse data to identify commercial opportunities and risks
Requirements*Experience in a Trading, Buying or Category Management role
*Proven supplier negotiation experience within food or FMCG
*Strong commercial and analytical skills
*Confident managing multiple stakeholders
*Advanced Excel skills
*Food or FMCG experience preferred
Must be able to commute to Harrow location easily
