Role OverviewWe are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and professional early years team in Sutton. You will play a key role in supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–5 years, delivering high-quality care in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities*Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
*Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
*Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS standards
*Act as a Key Person, supporting children’s individual needs and building strong relationships with families
*Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development
*Maintain accurate learning journals and records
*Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing among children
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education
*Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
Requirements*Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare
*Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a nursery or early years setting
*Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
*Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A caring, patient, and professional approach
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable Skills*Paediatric First Aid certification
*Experience supporting children with SEND
*Familiarity with nursery management systems (e.g. Tapestry, Famly)
*Experience acting as a Key Person
