Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA)

Are you a newly qualified or recently qualified ACA / ACCA accountant looking to build a long-term career within a supportive, forward-thinking accountancy practice?
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with experienced seniors and partners, gain exposure to a varied client base, and continue developing your technical and commercial skills in a high-quality general practice environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
*Preparing year-end accounts for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, with senior review
*Assisting with corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
*Supporting the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and reporting packs
*Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, KashFlow)
*Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
*Responding to client queries and supporting meetings alongside senior colleagues
*Working with partners and managers on ad-hoc advisory work and business planning projects
*Using cloud accounting tools to support clients and improve processes
About You
*Newly qualified or recently qualified ACA or ACCA
*Trained within a UK accountancy practice
*Keen to develop strong commercial awareness and client-facing confidence
*Comfortable working with cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, KashFlow preferred)
*Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
*Confident using Excel, Word, and Outlook
*A positive, proactive team player eager to learn and progress

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build towards a Senior Accountant or Manager position, with clear exposure to clients, advisory work, and leadership responsibilities over time.
