Job Description:
Orka Financial is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their clients growing team based in Wokingham, the role is responsible for providing accurate day-to-day finance support.
The successful candidate will oversee transaction processing, bank reconciliations and support the preparation of year-end accounts with external accountants.
The Accounts Assistant position involves regular communication with clients so strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities*Maintain accurate books, including invoicing, receipts, and payment processing.
*Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
*Monitor outstanding balances and follow internal procedures for collection.
*Prepare and issue statements of account.
*Assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
*Support external accountants with year-end accounts and queries.
*Use accounting and management software systems confidently (training provided).
*Respond to telephone and email queries in a professional and timely manner.
*Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal processes and controls.
*Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and efficiency.
*Contribute to a positive, organised, and business-focused team environment.
Skills & Experience Required*Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role.
*Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and transactional accounting.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal
Salary up to £36,000 depending upon experience, hybrid working model,
