Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a range of specialist provisions, alternative provisions, and mainstream schools with behaviour and nurture units across Greater Manchester. We are seeking a dedicated and resilient EBD Specialist to support children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD/SEMH).
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about behaviour support, emotional wellbeing, and making a positive impact on the lives of pupils who need it most.
The role: As an EBD Specialist, you will:
* Provide targeted support for pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
* Build strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and progress
* Support de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour interventions
* Work 1:1 and in small groups inside and outside the classroom
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
We are looking for someone who: * Has experience supporting children or young people with EBD/SEMH or challenging behaviour
* Is calm, resilient, and confident managing behaviour positively
* Has a strong understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practices
* Is passionate about inclusion and emotional wellbeing
* Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS check and suitable references
