Job Description:
Rev & Regs is seeking a Finance Manager to work for a dynamic and well-established Charity in the City of London.
The purpose of this role is to ensure effective, efficient and accurate day-to-day financial management and control, including leading on management reporting, forecasting and cashflow planning and delivering the annual reports and accounts.
Responsibilities:
*Ensure the effective, accurate, efficient and timely day-to-day management of all financial matters.
*Prepare materials for the efficient and successful delivery of audits.
*Prepare monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts within deadlines, with meaningful narrative for the Senior Leadership Team.
*Monitor cashflow needs and arrange redemptions from investments, as required.
*Monitor FX requirements to cover grant payments in currencies other than base currency.
*Ensure accurate and complete accounting records are maintained and all required financial and regulatory reports are produced.
*Undertake cash accounting entries and monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and rectifying any discrepancies.
*Maintain an effective financial and operating control environment (including adherence to procedures e.g. internal control framework, policies, controls, regulations, and supporting regular risk reviews).
Experience:
*Demonstrable track record working in a finance function.
*Experience of preparing statutory accounts in the UK for charitable organisations under US GAAP (or similar).
*Qualified accountant (e.g. AAT, ACCA, or CIMA).
*Significant experience of managing financial systems and processes.
*Proficiency in bookkeeping.
*Knowledge and experience of the charitable sector and charity accounting (SORP).
*Experience of preparing management accounts and monitoring organisation-wide budgets.
*Experience of working with a finance ledger system.
*Experience of Oracle Fusion (General Ledger System) - (desirable).
*Excellent MS Excel skills and experience of using databases to process information.
*Experience of working for an international organisation (desirable).
Salary: £56,000 plus bonus
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in City of London office)
