My client is a successful and growing manufacturing business, committed to delivering high-quality products to the market. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join the Finance team. This role is ideal for someone looking to deepen their exposure to management accounting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, while contributing meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
Your new role
The Assistant Management Accountant will support the Finance team across a variety of activities, including weekly and month-end reporting, pricing and costing processes, sales forecasting, and the enhancement of financial dashboards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, good Excel capability, and a willingness to learn and develop their understanding of accounting within a manufacturing context.

Weekly & KPI Reporting
*Assist in preparing weekly sales and KPI reports, ensuring accuracy, insight, and alignment with business priorities.
Month-End Support
*Support Operational and Commercial Finance Business Partners with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.
Sales Forecast Consolidation
*Assist in consolidating monthly sales forecasts, including variance analysis against previous forecasts, budgets, and latest estimates.
IFS Data Loads
*Prepare costing, pricing, and budgetary data loads for upload into the IFS ERP system.
Tender Support
*Contribute to tender submissions by analysing changes from prior submissions, identifying key drivers, and highlighting risks and opportunities.
Ad-Hoc Reporting
*Prepare and present ad-hoc financial analysis and reports for Finance Business Partners, the CFO, and the Senior Leadership Team to support decision-making.

What you’ll need to succeed
Skills & Experience
*Solid understanding of accounting principles
*Strong Excel skills (including XLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
*Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG
*Knowledge of ERP systems (IFS advantageous)
*Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborate across functions
*Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
Qualifications
*AAT qualified or currently studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA
*Prior experience in a finance role-manufacturing or FMCG preferred, but not essential for the right candidate
