Job Description:
Tennial Personnel are actively seeking an experienced Production Technician with gantry crane and forklift experience to join a growing, family-run manufacturing business based in Risby, near Bury St Edmunds. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity following a successful 12-week probation period, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, offering an hourly rate of £13.00–£14.00 per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate gantry cranes and forklifts to safely move materials and large assemblies
• Support mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations
• Ensure safe lifting, loading, and accurate positioning of components
• Work to production schedules, drawings, and assembly instructions
• Carry out visual inspections and assist with quality checks
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment
• Support all areas of production when required
• Report any safety, quality, or equipment issues promptly
Skills:
Proven experience operating gantry cranes and forklifts in an industrial environment
Strong understanding of safe lifting and material handling practices
Ability to follow procedures and safety-critical processes
Flexible, team-oriented approach to work
High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
Qualifications:
Gantry crane certification (preferred)
Forklift licence (preferred)
Experience within manufacturing, heavy assembly, or engineered environments
