Job Description:
Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care
? Leyland | Full-time (40 hours per week, rota basis including days, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins)
Are you an experienced children’s residential worker ready to take the next step into leadership? We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to support the management and development of a children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for young people aged 11–18.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support the Registered and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
*Lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment
*Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices
*Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve the best outcomes for young people
*Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and organisational procedures
Requirements:
*Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)
*Previous experience supporting young people in a residential setting
*Supervisory or shift-leading experience
*Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and behaviour management strategies
*Full UK driving licence (preferably clean)
*Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rota, including sleep-ins and cover at other homes if required
