Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join one of our clients, a leading brand in the fitness industry based in Milton Keynes. Our clients are on an exciting growth trajectory and are looking to strengthen their commercial finance capability to support informed, data-driven decision making. This role sits firmly within the finance function and will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight, performance analysis and P&L support.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with data, understanding financial performance drivers and turning numbers into practical insight.
Key benefits of a Finance Analyst:
*25 days annual leave + bank holidays (increasing to 28 days after 3 years’ service)
*Early finish on Fridays
*Company pension
*Death in service (4 x salary)
*Vitality medical healthcare for you and your family
Key responsibilities for a Finance Analyst:
*Produce weekly and monthly management accounts and performance reporting
*Deliver P&L variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior periods
*Support the budgeting and forecasting cycles, including ongoing reforecasts
*Provide detailed margin, cost and profitability analysis by product, channel or department
*Partner with budget holders to understand cost drivers and performance trends
*Build and maintain financial models and Excel-based analysis
*Support month-end close activities and ad-hoc commercial finance projects
Key requirements for a Finance Analyst:
*Experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Finance or FP&A role
*Part-qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) is preferred
*Strong understanding of management accounting and financial statements
*Advanced Excel skills (comfortable with pivot tables, lookups and data analysis)
*Confident communicator able to explain financial performance to non-finance stakeholders
*Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
This role is ideal for someone with a finance or accounting background, rather than a pure data or business analysis profile, who is looking to develop their career within a growing, commercially focused organisation.
If you have the experience required and this sounds like a role for you, please apply now!
