Job Description:
Role
The Company Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and providing financial insight to support business decisions.
Responsibilities.
*Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
*Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
*Reconcile balance sheet accounts and bank statements
*Prepare cash flow forecasts and budgets
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local tax regulations
*Prepare and submit VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory returns
*Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
*Monitor debtor collections and creditor payments
*Manage payroll accounting and related reconciliations
*Provide financial analysis and reports to management
*Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Requirements.
*Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) – preferred or part-qualified
*3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
*Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
*Good communication and stakeholder management skills
