Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer (Site Carpentry) – Part Time
Location: Blackburn
Days: 1 day per week (Tuesdays)
Start: ASAP – until July 2026

Rotherwood Education are looking for an experienced Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to teach Level 2 Site Carpentry apprentices at a well-established college in the Blackburn area.
This is a part-time role delivering practical, workshop-based sessions to apprentices, supporting them to develop the skills needed to work safely and competently on site.
What you’ll be teaching*Roofing skills
*First and second fix carpentry
*Straight flights of stairs
*Hatch linings
*Pipe boxing
*Working from drawings and specifications
What we’re looking for*Recent Site Carpentry industry experience
*Experience teaching in FE (within the last 12 months)
*Certificate in Education (Cert Ed) – essential
*Experience working with apprentices
*Good understanding of health & safety and industry standards
*Confident classroom and behaviour management
The role*Level 2 apprentices
*Workshop-based delivery
*Small groups in line with apprenticeship requirements
