SEMH School / Alternative Provision
A small, growing and increasingly popular SEMH school and alternative provision in the Thatcham/Tilehurst area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 (or equivalent) Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and who thrives in a nurturing, relationship-centred educational environment.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
*Provide high-quality support to students with SEMH needs
*Work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to deliver personalised learning
*Foster positive relationships that build trust, confidence and resilience
*Assist with behaviour support using consistent, supportive and restorative approaches
*Work collaboratively with teachers, mentors and pastoral staff
*Contribute to a safe, inclusive and motivating learning environment
Essential Requirements
*Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification)
*Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or barriers to learning
*A calm, patient and emotionally resilient approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine commitment to helping young people achieve positive outcomes
