Management Accountant
Based: Chorley
Salary: up to £45k dependent on study level/experience + benefits + bonus


I am working exclusively with a fantastic, growing SME business in an exciting sector looking for a commercially focused Management Accountant to join the team due to internal progression. The business plan to grow dramatically over the next few years organically and through M&A offering great exposure and a really great time to join
We are looking for an ambitious Accountant (newly qualified or finalist) with commercial experience OR a desire to get involved with business partnering as part of their role. You will receive training & development along the way under a great mentor
Role:
*Responsibility for business entity overseeing full finance process at month end including monthly management accounts, variance analysis & commentary for the board
*Assisting in production of monthly board packs, MI production & wider group activities if required
*Identifying business KPI’s, including within monthly reporting packs
*Assisting with producing budgets & forecasting across sales, gross margin, direct costs and overheads
*Maintaining & analysing data to be used to drive commercial decisions, business partnering with senior directors challenging assumptions
*Assisting with year end audits, annual statutory accounts and group tax when required
*Improvement mindset – able to suggest ideas for improving processes, systems & procedures to encourage a more efficient department
Experience:
*ACCA / CIMA part qualified OR QBE
*Experience in a management accounts role is essential (must have experience of producing month end either assisting or owning the process)
*Strong commercial acumen with a desire to challenge assumptions & business partner with the wider business (experience beneficial but not essential)
*Strong communication skills, attention to detail and desire to grow – essential
