About the RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND and SEMH, helping them engage in learning and thrive in the classroom. Roles may include:
*1:1 support
*Small group interventions
*General classroom assistance
Roles & ResponsibilitiesAs a Teaching Assistant, your daily duties may include:
Classroom Support*Supporting the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
*Assisting pupils to stay engaged and focused during learning activities
*Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Pupil Support*Providing tailored support to pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional needs
*Working 1:1 or with small groups to reinforce learning
*Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Safeguarding & Welfare*Promoting the safety and welfare of all pupils at all times
*Following school safeguarding policies and procedures
*Reporting any concerns promptly to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
*Maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
Additional Responsibilities*Assisting with classroom organisation and resources
*Supporting pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes or transitions where required
*Communicating effectively with teachers, staff and parents where appropriate
Please note: All successful applicants must have an Enhanced DBS Check, or be willing to undergo one prior to starting.
