SEND Mentor – Long-Term Position (Newbury and Thatcham)
£100 - £110 per day (depending up on experience)
I’m looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Mentor to join a strong team in Newbury for a long-term role supporting young people with a range of additional needs.
In this role, I need someone who is genuinely committed to making a difference in the lives of students who require extra support to access their learning. You will be working directly with young people who may have special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), autism spectrum conditions, or other additional learning needs.
What I’m Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you have experience in any of the following areas:
*Special Educational Needs (SEN)
*Mental health
*Healthcare
*Social care
*OR meaningful personal experience supporting someone with additional needs
Most importantly, you’ll bring patience, empathy, and a positive, consistent approach to helping students thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 or small-group support to learners with a variety of SEND needs
*Build trusting, supportive relationships with students
*Assist with emotional regulation, communication, and confidence building
*Work closely with teaching staff to ensure each learner’s needs are met
*Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment
