Job Description:
Family Solicitor – Private Family (Legal Aid Domestic Abuse)
Location: Rotherham (with travel to Sheffield, and occasionally Doncaster/Barnsley)
Hours: Full time or part time considered
Hybrid: No formal policy, but flexibility offered (e.g., WFH before court). Office presence valued for walk-ins.
Firm: A long-standing, reputable, and Lexcel & ISO-accredited firm based in Rotherham is expanding its teams. With a strong presence across multiple practice areas, the firm prides itself on high-quality service and a supportive working culture with the motto "Large enough to matter and small enough to care."
Role Overview
*You will manage a busy caseload of: Divorce, Financial remedy, Private Law Children matters, Injunctions and Domestic abuse (legal aid)
*The role sits within a supportive team led by a Partner specialising in care, alongside two other solicitors (one care, one private law).
Ideal Candidate
*Experience handling a mixed private family caseload
*Comfortable working in a busy environment
*Driver preferred due to court attendances

*Clear fee-earning structure: Target = 3× salary
*25% bonus on billings over target, paid annually (subject to payment)
