Job Description:
Be the Voice for Children: Family Court Adviser - Essex Cafcass is looking for a resilient, expert Family Court Adviser to champion children’s safety and ensure their voices are heard within the Essex family justice system.
?? The Package
Rate: £36 per hour.
Contract: Temporary, 37 hours per week.
Benefits: West Yorkshire Pension Fund and up to 33 days leave plus 3 privilege days.

Advocate: Ensure the child’s perspective is the center of every judicial proceeding.
Safeguard: Analyze court applications for child protection and serious welfare issues.
Influence: Persuade family members to adopt a child-focused approach.
Collaborate: Partner with the Judiciary, Solicitors, and Local Authorities to achieve safe outcomes.
??? Requirements
Qualified: Diploma in Social Work (SWE recognized).
Registered: Must be Social Work England (SWE) registered.
Experience: Ideally 3+ years post-qualifying experience with children at risk.
Compliance: Enhanced DBS (issued within 12 months) and UK Right to Work.
Skills: Strong IT, organizational, and high-conflict negotiation skills.
?? Location: Essex-based with flexible travel across the service area.
