Job Description:
Location: Ilford, Redbridge
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Ilford, Redbridge. This is a full-time role supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities: * Deliver planned learning activities to individuals and small groups
* Support the planning and delivery of an adapted curriculum
* Cover lessons when required and support teaching staff
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Support students’ emotional and social development
* Maintain a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
Requirements: * HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
* Experience working in a PRU, SEMH or alternative provision setting (essential)
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
* Resilient, flexible and proactive approach
