The school is now looking for a dedicated and engaging Year 3 Teacher to join the team from March, working two days per week until the end of the academic year. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching lower KS2 and wants to contribute meaningfully to a close-knit school community while maintaining a part-time working pattern. The leadership team are keen to meet interested teachers soon.
Your new role
*Planning and delivering well-structured, engaging lessons that support Year 3 pupils to make strong progress across the curriculum.
*Working closely with the KS2 team to ensure consistency, share ideas and contribute to a positive learning culture.
*Adapting teaching to meet the varied needs within the class, ensuring all pupils feel supported, challenged and valued.
*Assessing and tracking pupil progress with care and accuracy, using this information to inform next steps and celebrate successes.
*Contributing to the wider life of the school, demonstrating professionalism, flexibility and a commitment to the school’s inclusive ethos.
What you’ll need to succeed
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 3.
*Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
*Secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and confidence in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
*A reflective, collaborative approach when working with colleagues, parents and external professionals.
*A warm, child-centred teaching style and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting pupils at this stage of their learning.
