An established and well-regarded Oxfordshire law firm is looking to recruit a Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its growing Litigation team based in Abingdon.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or junior litigator to gain exposure to a broad and interesting mix of work, with hands-on responsibility, strong supervision, and clear long-term progression.
The opportunity
You’ll join a collaborative and supportive Litigation team handling a wide range of contentious probate, property litigation, commercial disputes and general litigation matters. The role offers high-quality work, direct client contact, and the chance to develop quickly under the guidance of experienced senior litigators.

Type of work
Your caseload will include a mix of:
*Contentious Probate – disputes involving wills, estates and trusts
*Property Litigation – landlord & tenant disputes, ownership and rights issues, residential and commercial property disputes
*Commercial Litigation – shareholder disputes, contract disputes, debt recovery, professional negligence, commercial property disputes
*General Civil Litigation – consumer disputes, business disputes, insurance claims and related matters
You’ll be supported throughout, with the opportunity to attend hearings, work with counsel, and develop advocacy and litigation strategy skills.
Key responsibilities
*Managing your own varied caseload with appropriate supervision
*Advising clients clearly and pragmatically throughout the litigation process
*Drafting pleadings, correspondence and court documents
*Instructing counsel and liaising with experts where required
*Attending hearings, trials and pre-trial reviews
*Maintaining excellent client care and communication
*Time recording, billing and WIP management
*Supporting business development, networking and profile-raising
*Working collaboratively within a close-knit litigation team
