Job Description:
Job Title: Facilities Shift Technician
Location: Oldham
Shift Pattern: 2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 2 off / 2 on / 3 off Hours: 7:00am – 7:00pm / 7:00pm – 7:00am (rotating days and nights)
Key Responsibilities:
* Preventative maintenance, repair, and modification of plant and equipment
* Daily routine tasks supporting high purity water supply to manufacturing
* Monitoring and maintaining Gas Detection and Building Management Systems (BMS)
* Maintaining process cooling, compressed air, vacuum, bulk gas, effluent, heating, and electrical systems
* Responding effectively to plant malfunctions, alarms, and breakdowns
Essential Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3, ONC, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
* Proven experience in a Facilities Maintenance role
* Mechanical bias with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Knowledge of H&V plant and high purity water systems
* Understanding of safe systems of work
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 2 in a second discipline or willingness to work towards
* IPAF, FLT, or PASMA licence
* Experience in manufacturing, clean room, HVAC, water, chemical, or chilling plant environments
* Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC controls, and 3-phase systems
