We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full Time Permanent basis.
Summary of the Principal Engineer role
Salary: £75,000
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.15am – 4.45pm Friday – 8.15am – 1.45pm
Responsibilities of thePrincipal Engineer
*Lead R&D initiatives and root cause analysis
*Enhance project toll gates
*Translate customer technical requirements and specifications
*Implement product standardisation strategy aligned with sales
*Provide technical support and leadership
*Quotation and selection processes for motors and pumps ensuring
*compliance with application
*Influence specification development
*ATEX competency lead in collaboration with Engineering Manager
Requirements for a successful Principal Engineer
*Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
*Experience of mechanical engineering design and analysis
*Experience of water industry markets
*Comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles
*Knowledge in pump engineering
*Able to interpret drawings and technical specifications
