Experienced Senior Paraplanner - Edinburgh
Are you an experienced Paraplanner who thrives on technical excellence and collaborative working?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Paraplanner to join our clients established and high-performing team in Edinburgh.
This is a role for someone who enjoys turning complex financial planning scenarios into clear, well-structured advice — supporting Financial Planners to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
The Opportunity
As a Paraplanner, you’ll play a vital role in the advice process, analysing client objectives and developing high-quality, compliant recommendations across investments, pensions, protection, and tax planning.
You’ll work closely with Financial Planners and administrators, contribute to a collaborative team environment, and offer guidance and support to junior colleagues — helping the wider team deliver consistently excellent work.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Producing detailed financial plans, suitability reports, and recommendation documents
*Supporting new client and review meetings with robust technical preparation
*Conducting in-depth research across investments, pensions, protection, and tax planning
*Reviewing client portfolios to ensure suitability, risk alignment, and regulatory compliance
*Liaising with Wealth Managers, administrators, and product providers to ensure seamless implementation
*Maintaining accurate client records and contributing to continuous improvement of advice processes
What You’ll Bring
*Proven experience in a Paraplanner role
*CII Level 6 Diploma preferred or working towards this
*Strong technical knowledge of financial planning, tax wrappers, pensions, and investments
*Outstanding attention to detail and a high standard of written work
*Confident use of financial planning software
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal relationships
*Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
