Job Description:
A reputable and growing private practice law firm is seeking a dedicated Family Paralegal to join its supportive and well-regarded family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal who is passionate about family law and looking to build long-term career progression within a respected firm.
The firm welcomes applications from candidates with experience in family law, child arrangements, divorce, or general legal support roles.
The Role
You will support solicitors and fee earners in managing a varied and sensitive family law caseload, including:
*Divorce and separation
*Financial remedy proceedings
*Child arrangements and private children matters
*Domestic abuse cases
*Cohabitation agreements and pre-nuptial/post-nuptial agreements
*Preparing court bundles, statements, and legal documents
*Liaising with clients, courts, counsel, and third parties
This role offers excellent exposure to complex and rewarding family work.
Key Responsibilities
*Providing legal and administrative support across the family department
*Drafting statements, court forms, correspondence, and bundles
*Managing files, onboarding new clients, and handling AML processes
*Taking client instructions sensitively and professionally
*Attending meetings, hearings, and conferences (where required)
*Ensuring compliance with deadlines, procedure rules, and regulatory standards
Requirements
*Previous experience as a Family Paralegal or legal assistant
*Understanding of family law processes, including divorce, finances, and children matters
*Excellent client-care skills with a compassionate and professional approach
*Strong drafting, organisational, and administrative abilities
*Ability to work independently and within a team
*Experience with case management systems beneficial
