About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design and sample Operative to join a busy and creative design lab based in East Peckham, Tonbridge.
This full-time, Monday to Friday role offers stable daytime hours and the chance to be hands-on in the development of high-quality wallcovering products.
The Design Lab Operative plays a key part in supporting design, product management, manufacturing and marketing teams. Working from detailed briefs, the role focuses on creating prototype samples, customer specials and essential documentation that helps new products move from concept to production.
This is a practical, detail-driven role suited to someone who enjoys working with colour, materials and machinery in a collaborative environment.
What we are looking for
The successful Design Lab Operative will bring enthusiasm, flexibility and a sharp eye for detail, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key requirements include:
*Strong colour vision and excellent attention to detail
*Confidence working with machinery or technical processes
*Ability to visually match ink colours by eye
*Good communication skills with colleagues and visitors
*A flexible and adaptable approach to work
*Physical capability to handle equipment, ink cans and trolleys
*GCSE-level education or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
*Experience with colour matching or machinery is a strong advantage
*Own transport is required due to location
