SEN Teaching Assistant
*Hourly Rate: £14.63 - £16.35
*Location: Burnley
*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
*Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 3:00 PM
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burnley. This role involves working across Year 3 classes, providing support to students with special educational needs. The position requires a compassionate individual who can start as soon as possible.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs within Year 3 classes.
*Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt support as needed.
*Facilitate social and academic inclusion in classroom activities.
*Employ strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
*Prepare learning materials under the guidance of the teacher.
*Assist with the general well-being of students during school hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN students.
*NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent is highly desirable.
*Strong understanding of the needs of children with special educational needs.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
