Grounds Person - Independent School, Suffolk

Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week, full year)
Salary: £22,941 per annum
Start: Immediate
A small independent College in Suffolk, is seeking a Grounds Person to join its Estates team. This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance of the school’s grounds, gardens and sports facilities.
Key Responsibilities * Maintain lawns, pitches, hedges, paths and landscaped areas

* Prepare and mark out sports pitches and facilities

* Operate groundskeeping equipment (mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers)

* Support site maintenance and school events

* Assist with seasonal duties including gritting and leaf clearance

* Work collaboratively within the Estates team

Requirements * Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping

* Practical, reliable and flexible approach

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety

Desirable * Grounds maintenance or horticultural qualification

* PA1 spraying qualification or chainsaw licence

* Experience in a school or public environment
