Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Wandsworth
Tradewind London are delighted to be supporting a welcoming, two-form entry primary school in Wandsworth in their search for a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time position, available for an immediate start, initially on a temporary basis with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate, including the opportunity to move onto a direct school contract.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference to children’s learning and development within a supportive and forward-thinking school community. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils both in the classroom and through targeted small group and one-to-one interventions, ensuring every child is given the opportunity to thrive.
The school is keen to appoint someone who is confident working across the primary age range, including the Early Years Foundation Stage, so previous experience in EYFS or early childhood settings would be highly advantageous. You may also be required to provide short-notice cover when needed, supporting continuity of learning across the school.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high-quality one-to-one and small group interventions to support progress in learning

* Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, including academic, social or emotional challenges

* Supporting children with medical needs and carrying out first aid duties where required

* Assisting teaching and learning within the classroom, working alongside the class teacher

* Preparing and adapting resources to meet the individual needs of pupils

* Supporting positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment

* Contributing to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities

The school can offer you:
* A dedicated and motivated staff team who work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for all pupils

* Children who are enthusiastic about learning, well-behaved, and proud of their school

* A nurturing environment where staff are valued and professional development is encouraged

To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A CACHE Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning
or a Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years

* Experience working with children in a primary or early years setting

* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply), plus overseas police checks if applicable

* Professional references and a full CV with all employment and education history explained

* The legal right to work in the UK

Benefits of working through Tradewind include:
* Access to CPD courses through National College, more than any other education recruitment agency

* A generous referral scheme - earn up to £100 for recommending a friend

* Full interview preparation and ongoing support from experienced consultants

* An easy-to-use online portal for timesheets and availability

* Free social and networking events to connect with other education professionals
