Overview
A well-established and highly regarded firm of Insolvency Practitioners based in Stockport, Cheshire is seeking an experienced Corporate Insolvency Manager to join its growing corporate recovery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior insolvency professional to take ownership of a varied corporate caseload while enjoying genuine flexibility around working arrangements.
The Role
As Corporate Insolvency Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of complex corporate insolvency cases from appointment through to closure. You will work closely with Insolvency Practitioners, provide technical guidance to junior team members, and play a key role in maintaining high standards of compliance and client service.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a varied caseload of corporate insolvency appointments including CVLs, MVLs, administrations and liquidations
*Progress cases from appointment through to closure, ensuring timely and compliant delivery
*Act as the main point of contact for directors, creditors, solicitors, and other stakeholders
*Provide technical oversight and guidance to Administrators and Senior staff
*Review and approve statutory documentation and reports
*Identify and manage complex or high-risk case issues
*Ensure full compliance with insolvency legislation, SIPs, and internal procedures
*Support Insolvency Practitioners with case strategy and client service
Candidate Requirements
*Strong experience in corporate insolvency, ideally at Manager or Senior level
*Proven ability to manage corporate cases independently from appointment to closure
*Excellent technical knowledge of insolvency legislation and procedures
*Experience supervising or mentoring team members
*Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
*CPI or JIEB qualification advantageous but not essential
