Job Description:
School Cook
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a client SEN school for an experienced School Cook to join their team on a contract basis.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Cambridge
Contract: Contract / Ongoing (depending on school requirements)
Key Responsibilities:
*Preparing and cooking nutritious meals tailored to pupils within an SEN setting
*Catering for a range of dietary requirements, allergies, and specialist needs
*Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
*Managing food preparation, stock control, and portion management
*Ensuring all meals are prepared in line with food safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
*Working calmly and efficiently within a school environment
Requirements:
*Previous experience as a cook, ideally within a school or SEN setting
*Food Hygiene Level 2 (or above) - essential
*HACCP trained - essential
*Strong understanding of food safety and allergen regulations
*Patient, reliable, and well organised
