Head of Residential Conveyancing Department | Chester | Competitive Salary + Bonus + Hybrid Working | Are you an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer ready to take the next step in your career?
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Chester, is looking for a talented professional to lead their Residential Conveyancing department.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a firm that values quality over quantity. You’ll manage a close-knit team of three fee earners and two support staff, oversee a manageable caseload, and work closely with trusted introducers and estate agents to continue driving the department’s success.
The Role * Lead and motivate the Residential Conveyancing team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture
* Oversee the management of files, ensuring top-tier client service and compliance with SRA regulations
* Build and maintain relationships with local estate agents and referrers
* Identify opportunities for business development and process improvement
* Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, supporting professional growth and handling any performance concerns constructively
About You * Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEx), or Licensed Conveyancer with solid experience in Residential Property
* Previous experience managing or supervising a team within a conveyancing environment
* Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to business development
* Excellent understanding of SRA compliance and client care
* Confident, approachable, and ready to lead with purpose
