Psychology Graduate - Wantage, Oxfordshire
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Scale: £450.00 - £500.00 per week
A friendly and community-focused primary school in Wantage, Oxfordshire is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their learning support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate to gain valuable, hands-on experience supporting primary-aged pupils who require additional help in their learning and development.
In this role, you will support children with a wide range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, GDD, physical and mental disabilities, as well as other complex learning needs. The ideal psychology graduate will be confident, proactive, and passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs.
Key responsibilities of the Psychology Graduate role include:
*Implementing effective behaviour management strategies
*Supporting the class teacher during lessons
*Building positive relationships with parents and carers
*Adapting and individualising activities to meet specific pupil needs
*Liaising with the SENCo and class teacher to provide feedback and monitor progress
This role offers an excellent foundation for psychology graduates looking to progress into careers such as child psychology, educational psychology, youth support, or SEN teaching.
