We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking School Caretaker to join a network of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools in Merton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-run environments where students and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities: * Ensuring the security and safety of school premises

* Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and health & safety checks

* Overseeing cleaning standards and site presentation

* Opening and closing the school buildings as required

* Supporting with setting up rooms for school activities and events

* Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues promptly

* Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health & safety policies

The Ideal Candidate: * Has previous caretaking, site management, or facilities experience (school experience desirable but not essential)

* Is practical, hands-on, and able to work independently

* Has good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

* Is reliable, flexible, and takes pride in their work

* Is committed to supporting an inclusive school environment
