Payroll Officer
Our client, an award-winning market leader in their field, is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team for an initial 12-month interim assignment.
The role is offered on a full or part time basis with a minimum of 28 hours per week.
You will be working closely with the Group Payroll Manager preparing end to end payroll for multiple sites.
Key responsibilities include:
*Ensuring the smooth running of the payroll process, making sure that employees are paid accurately and on time.
*Running payrolls for 10 sites around the UK to various deadlines.
*Weekly agency payrolls including overtime and bonus payments as well as monthly payrolls
*Payroll calculations such as statutory payments (SMP, SPP and SSP) and national minimum wage.
*Resolving any payroll issues that arise.
*Assisting with annual pay reviews.
*Assisting with monthly pension reporting and submission of data.
*Providing monthly payroll reviews for senior management.
*Administering the employee benefit programme including new starters, leavers and obtaining information from benefit providers at time of renewal.
*Supporting audits by ensuring records are complete and accurate.
You must have previous experience of running end to end UK payrolls, be fully up to speed with payroll legislation and ideally have a payroll qualification such as CIPP or similar. You will have strong time management, communication and numeracy skills.
