Job Description:
Futures are looking to appoint an Electrical Technician for a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing business with a strong reputation for long-term staff retention, investment in training, and a supportive team culture. The company designs and manufactures bespoke devices and is going through a period of continued growth.
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join the production team, responsible for the wiring and assembly of electrical control panels using schematic and wiring drawings. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a high-throughput manufacturing environment while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
*Wire and assemble electrical control panels from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
*Install components such as PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, power supplies, and terminals
*Carry out point-to-point wiring, trunking, and panel layout to agreed standards
*Perform basic electrical testing and fault-finding during build
*Ensure all work complies with electrical and safety standards
*Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to meet build schedules
*Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area
Key Requirements
*Proven experience wiring industrial control panels in a manufacturing or engineering environment
*Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematics
*Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
*Electrical qualification (Apprenticeship / NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent) preferred
