Eventus Legal Recruitment is seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive with civil and commercial litigation experience to join an entrepreneurial law firm in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. This opportunity will suit a commercially minded litigator looking for high quality work and the opportunity to play a visible role in the continued growth of a modern practice. The role offers exposure to a wide range of civil and commercial disputes, acting for owner managed businesses, entrepreneurs, and companies across the South East and beyond. On offer is a salary between £50-70k, bonus scheme, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays and hybrid working which can be 1-2 days a week in the office depending on experience.
The Role Responsibilities
The Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive will be given significant autonomy and responsibility from the outset, with duties including:
*Managing a varied caseload of civil and commercial disputes including some employment cases as well as property, contentious probate, and intellectual property
*Acting as the primary point of contact for clients
*Supervising and delegating to junior lawyers and paralegals where appropriate
*Working closely with senior colleagues and wider legal specialists
*Contributing to business development, networking, and marketing initiatives
*Playing an active role in the growth and development of the disputes offering
Person Specification
The Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive will be based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex and depending on experience can be hybrid or predominately remote. You will ideally have:
*Experience handling active County Court and or High Court litigation
*A strong technical foundation across civil and commercial disputes
*The ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment
*Excellent drafting, communication, and client handling skills
*High service standards and strong attention to detail
*A commercial mindset and interest in business focused legal work
*Enthusiasm for business development and profile building
